Notification of arrival must be made at least 24 hours before arrival and at the latest when the ship leaves the previous port. If the voyage will last less than 24 hours or if the port of call is not known, this information must be notified as soon as it is available.

Vessels with a gross tonnage of at least 300 tons as well as fishing vessels, traditional vessels and recreational craft with a length of 45 meters or more, and which are on their way to a Swedish port or anchorage within Swedish maritime territory are obliged to report the arrival notification.
