The new land will be made with at ”sprängstensvall” with ”tätningsskikt”. The landfill shall be done with dredging material from the dredging project and will local construction materials from local sites. The aim is to creade several 100000 sq m with with storage areas in different stages. A new dock shall then be made in connection with the landfill areas. This shall be effected in a project that goes under the name of Port of Skellefteå 2030.

The planning (detaljplanen) is going to be published late 2018 and will hopefully be made legal within 2019.  In connection with the port area, a new industrial site on far more than 500000 sq. Meters. The final area will be descided when the planning process is finalized. Permits from the enviromental and planning court is in place for the landfill project but not for the quay project.

This big landfillproject shall begin 2019 and be finalized during 2020. More information will be published on the website when known.
